The Same Ol' List for 2022

I really would like to find another hobby. Maybe I should start knitting. Thanks to work, I am now listening to audiobooks more and as a result also reading more books! I'm glad that I can honestly say that my hobby is reading. But for now, this is all about my most time-consuming hobby which is movies. According to my Letterboxd, I spent over 4,600 hours of my 2021 watching movies. That number is higher if you count me watching TV shows. Speaking of shows, my first 2022 favorite is Single's Inferno, but that's for another time.

For this post, it's the usual 2022 watchlist. Worth noting every year that I've been doing this since 2009. I didn't even see one of the movies I listed on my top 10 last year because of the Delta wave lockdown. Might be looking at an Omicron wave lockdown soon (as of this writing). Also worth noting that I've reached a certain maturity where I do not need to see every major movie, thanks to Covid. Three years ago I'd be like 'opening day or die' but now it's more like, 'dying isn't that bad tbh'. That made the list has much fewer movies.

Spoiler alert: I'd rather watch a generic Liam Neeson actioner than another Ryan Reynolds Netflix movie, which is why it's not listed. Most of the superhero movies are also not on my top 10 anticipated list because DC has no direction and I might have reached saturation with Marvel thanks to their mediocre Disney+ shows. I'd still watch them, but not in a hurry.
